INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of Study.
There are so many cultures in this world,
especially in Indonesia.
Indonesia has many different cultures in this
society, and one of the cultures in Indonesia
is marriage in Aceh Bireuen.
Indonesian is the big country, a country that
has many cultures. Indonesian cultural
diversity it spread in this country like jewel beads invaluable. Because culture in this country is identity of tribal
nation and also as foundation of development
nation culture, so as citizens who love country, we should always try to preserve and keep our nations culture.
But lately the value shift culture cause
result public that everything that come
from outside is better than existing in the country, so worried the culture will become extinct and can`t be known again
by the next generation. For culture is
still known by the next generation in Indonesian, and then perform a variety of
Preservation and maintenance of culture,
well done by government and by people who
love its culture. In connection with this, in this paper, the writer wants to explain about marriage ceremony practiced by
Acehnese ethnic in Bireuen Aceh.

The writer writes this paper to know about
conducted the wedding ceremony Acehnese
in Bireuen district, and to know the steps of wedding party in Bireuen districts. And the writer, write this
paper to fulfill the requirements to get the diploma degree the English Department of
the Faculty of Culture studies University
North of Sumatra.
1.3 Scope of study.
Actually, there are many things that can be
discussed about cultures in Aceh, in
this paper the writer presents about wedding ceremony in Bireuen district, it will explain about Aceh culture,
that include : jak meu tanda, jak me ranub,
jak keumalen and others that concerned with
wedding ceremony in Bireuen
district.
1.4 Significance of Study.
In this paper, writer wants to give some
information to the other people more
about marriage ceremony in Bireuen, to see and understand how ethnic weeding in Bireuen, and the writer also hopes
people could keep our culture so that
our culture is knows by next generation, so it will be make us proud of our culture.

Methods of writing.
The writer uses two method, they are the
library and observation research.
These methods are very useful in giving some
important information related to this
paper.
